Cactus Lines
I spent a good amount of time trying to photograph the patterns of cactus. I say trying because these cactus were 4 feet tall and probably 5 feet wide and the part that I was interested in photographing was the center stem where new leaves were still bound around each other. The only problem was trying to get to the center with a macro lens, but I liked how the thorns were embedded into the soft flesh of the leaf while a dark bold line outlined their shapes. Needless to say it was painful. © Christopher Johnson www.fromhereonin.com
