A trip to the lava ocean entry is amazing. Nothing like I have ever witnessed before. This time during the day, I focused my attention on a tight cropping of the lava as it intermingles with the ocean waves. Sometimes the water would win, extinguishing, for a moment, the hot lava pouring into the water. While other times the lava would win as it continued to pour out during a wave break. One thing I walked away from at the end of the day is that I am completely hooked on photographing the lava. It's mesmerizing. © Christopher Johnson www.fromhereonin.com
