Land Arch
I have been passing this Arch for around 12 years along the Mamalahoa Hwy and for some reason only noticed it last year. It's right across from a look out where you can see crazy old lava flow formations that travel down the hillside to the ocean and then in the distance is Maui. I figure I have looked toward Maui every time I've passed this spot until last year. Now I look at this and another Arch every time. I'm waiting for the perfect moment to stop and photograph these arches. The background isn't usually great because it's usually white from low clouds. This time it was foggy and prompted me to stop and explore, which happens to be the only time I've stopped. I was hoping for some cool atmosphere to make the location exciting, but I think it's lacking something. It's a work in progress. I wanted to share it because I've sat on these images for about 6 months. © Christopher Johnson www.fromhereonin.com
